Heavy Police Presence Around Telangana Assembly Ahead of Student Protest

<p>Hyderabad: Security was significantly stepped up around the Telangana Legislative Assembly on Friday after police received inputs that student groups were planning to stage a protest over pending fee reimbursements and scholarships.</p>
<p>Police personnel were deployed at key points, including Basheerbagh Crossroads, the Old Police Control Room and Nizam College, to prevent any untoward incidents and regulate the movement of demonstrators.</p>
<p>Additional police teams were positioned at strategic locations around the Assembly premises and on nearby roads. Senior officials monitored the situation closely, keeping a watch on the movement of student leaders and groups in and around the area.</p>
<p>The security measures were taken as a precautionary step given the possibility of students gathering in large numbers to press for the release of pending fee reimbursements and scholarship amounts.</p>
