Hyderabad: Three young men were arrested for allegedly performing bike stunts and overspeeding on public roads near Attapur while creating content for social media, police said.
The Attapur patrolling police apprehended Mohinudin, 24, from Himayathnagar; Mohammed Rizwan, 21, from Charminar; and Tohid, 19, from Kachiguda near Pillar No. 257 of the PVNR Expressway.
According to police, the trio were allegedly riding rashly and performing stunts on the public road, creating a nuisance and posing a risk to themselves and other commuters.
Police said the stunts were performed for creating social media content. They also found that none of the vehicles allegedly used by the three men had registered number plates.
A case has been registered under Sections 281 (rash driving or riding on a public way), 125 (act endangering life or personal safety of others) and 3(5) (acts done by several persons in furtherance of a common intention) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, along with relevant provisions of the Motor Vehicles Act.
Police have warned motorists against performing dangerous stunts or overspeeding on public roads for social media videos, citing the potential risk to road users.
