Hyderabad Traffic Police Book 40 Commuters for Using Cellphones While Driving

Hyderabad: Kulsumpura Traffic Police registered 40 cases against commuters for using cellphones while driving during a special enforcement drive on Saturday, October 24.

The drive aimed to raise awareness about the dangers of distracted driving and encourage motorists to follow traffic regulations. Police officials counselled those caught using mobile phones and explained how the practice can increase the risk of road accidents.

Police Emphasise Road Safety

Officials warned that using a cellphone while driving can divert a driver's attention from the road, endangering both the motorist and other commuters.

The police appealed to the public to avoid mobile phone use while driving and prioritise road safety by complying with traffic rules.

Special Drive Led by Kulsumpura Traffic Inspector

The enforcement operation was conducted under the leadership of K Rajendra Prasad, Inspector of Police and Station House Officer of Kulsumpura Traffic Police Station, along with other station personnel.

The police said such awareness and enforcement measures are intended to promote responsible driving and reduce accidents caused by distraction.
