HYDRAA Revives Kukatpally IDL Lake, Clears 20 Feet of Silt and Waste

<p>The Hyderabad Disaster Response and Assets Monitoring and Protection Agency, HYDRAA, has taken up an ambitious restoration project at Kukatpally IDL Lake, one of the city's long-neglected water bodies.</p>
<p>Workers deployed at the site are removing more than 20 feet of accumulated silt, plastic waste, and Plaster of Paris deposits that had settled at the bed of the lake over the years. The build-up had blocked natural groundwater recharge and turned the lake stagnant, rendering it ecologically unproductive.</p>
<p>Alongside the restoration work, HYDRAA is also preparing the lake for the upcoming Ganesh idol immersion season, putting in place arrangements to ensure the process goes smoothly for devotees.</p>
