BRS working president KT Rama Rao escaped unhurt on Saturday, September 5, after a lorry brushed against his car while he was travelling to Karimnagar for a Students and Youth conference.
KTR had stopped at Alugunur on the way, where party workers gave him a warm welcome. After the reception, he got back into his car and continued towards Karimnagar. It was during this leg of the journey that a lorry grazed his vehicle. While KTR, who was seated inside the car, came away without any injuries, one of the car's rear doors was badly damaged.
This is not the first time the BRS leader has had a narrow escape on the road. In July, two cars in his convoy collided near Station Ghanpur in Jangaon district after the convoy braked suddenly. BRS MLC Shambhipur Raju, who was travelling in one of the vehicles, sustained a hand injury.
Earlier, in November 2023, during an election rally in Armoor, the vehicle KTR was travelling in braked suddenly. KTR and other BRS leaders lost their balance, and the protective railing of the vehicle broke. BRS leader and Rajya Sabha MP Suresh Reddy fell to the ground in the incident.
