Hyderabad's Pahadi Shareef Police took a concrete step toward strengthening neighbourhood safety on Tuesday, September 1, inaugurating 32 community closed-circuit television cameras in Sri Ram Colony under their jurisdiction.
The installation was carried out under the RGIA Division and was formally launched by Assistant Commissioner of Police Srikanth Goud. Speaking at the inauguration, Goud acknowledged the industrial community and local donors whose contributions made the project possible.
"The newly installed high-definition cameras will serve as an effective deterrent against crime, assist in the swift detection of offences, enable round-the-clock monitoring of suspicious activities, and significantly enhance law and order in Sriram Colony and its surrounding areas," the ACP said.
The initiative reflects a growing push by Hyderabad Police to use community-funded surveillance infrastructure to extend their reach in residential areas.
