<p>A TGSRTC bus caused a major scare at Batasingaram in Abdullapurmet on the outskirts of Hyderabad on Thursday morning after it veered off the road and ploughed into a petrol bunk, damaging vehicles and equipment at the premises.</p>
<p>The bus, belonging to the Dilsukhnagar depot, was on its way to Choutuppal when the incident took place around 11 am. According to preliminary information, the driver lost control of the vehicle, reportedly while trying to avoid an auto-rickshaw, with overspeeding cited as a likely contributing factor.</p>
<p>The runaway bus entered the petrol bunk premises and crashed into a car parked there, completely damaging it. A second vehicle was also hit in the impact. The bus then went on to strike the diesel dispensing area, damaging equipment at the pump.</p>
<p>Staff and customers present at the bunk panicked and ran for safety when the bus came crashing in. Fortunately, no casualties were reported in the incident.</p>
<p>CCTV cameras installed at the premises recorded the entire sequence of events. The Abdullapurmet Police have taken up an investigation to establish the full circumstances that led to the accident.</p>
