Two Arrested Over Murder of 18-Year-Old Security Guard in Kothur

Hyderabad: Future City police have arrested two men in connection with the murder of an 18-year-old security guard at Dream Meadows Venture near Theegapur village in Kothur mandal on October 14. Police said the alleged killing followed a dispute over a ₹20,000 loan.

The victim, identified as Bodike Prem Kumar, was allegedly stabbed to death by Mohammed Irfan, with Mohammed Nawazuddin accused of assisting in the attack, according to the police.

The two accused were produced before a court on Friday, October 16, and remanded to judicial custody.

Police Outline Alleged Motive

According to investigators, Irfan had sought repayment of ₹20,000 from Prem Kumar before inviting him to the venture for drinks. A disagreement reportedly broke out over the money.

Police allege that Irfan then attacked Prem Kumar with a knife, stabbing him multiple times, while Nawazuddin allegedly restrained the victim. Prem Kumar died at the scene.

Investigation and Arrests

Kothur police examined the crime scene, gathered evidence and analysed the victim’s mobile phone records as part of the investigation.

Both suspects were apprehended during vehicle checks at Thimmapur X Roads on October 15, police said.

Investigators seized a knife, clothing, two mobile phones, a Honda Activa scooter and an autorickshaw in connection with the case.

The allegations are part of the police investigation, and the accused will be subject to the legal process.
