Uttarakhand CM Dhami Launches Free Online Coaching Scheme for Youth

<p>Dehradun: Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Monday launched the Mukhyamantri Yuva Bhavishya Nirman Yojana, a state-backed initiative designed to give the youth of Uttarakhand a fair shot at competitive examinations without worrying about the cost of coaching.</p>
<p>Under the scheme, students enrolled in universities and government or government-aided colleges across the state will receive free online coaching and quality study material to prepare for a wide range of competitive exams. These include Civil Services examinations conducted by UPSC and state Public Service Commissions, the Combined Defence Services exam, banking and railways recruitment tests, and SSC examinations.</p>
<p>The programme will also extend guidance for higher education and eligibility tests such as CAT, MAT, GATE, NET and CSIR-NET.</p>
<p>According to the Chief Minister's Office, the scheme specifically aims to ensure that financial constraints do not block talented students from pursuing their ambitions. Authorities noted the initiative is expected to be especially useful for students from remote and hilly areas of Uttarakhand, who will now be able to access expert guidance from home rather than travelling to larger cities in search of quality coaching.</p>
<p>Separately, on Friday, CM Dhami transferred the August 2026 pension instalment under various social security pension schemes of the Social Welfare Department through a one-click payment mechanism at the Chief Minister's Camp Office. A total of Rs 147.05 crore was credited directly into the bank accounts of 9,91,914 beneficiaries. During August, pensions for 5,605 new beneficiaries were also sanctioned under various pension schemes.</p>
<p>Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister said providing social security to the weaker, needy and deprived sections of society remains a priority of the state government. He said the government is committed to ensuring that every eligible person receives the benefits of social security schemes in a simple and timely manner, and directed officials to handle practical difficulties in the implementation of pension schemes with sensitivity.</p>
