Wang Yi Calls for Greater Mutual Understanding Between India and China

Beijing: Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi has emphasized the need for India and China to build stronger trust and maintain a balanced relationship by respecting each other's interests and concerns.

Speaking about ties between the two neighboring nations, Wang said both countries have more shared opportunities than differences and should focus on cooperation rather than rivalry. He noted that healthy relations between India and China are important not only for the two countries but also for peace and development across Asia.

The Chinese minister stated that both sides should continue dialogue, expand practical cooperation, and address challenges through communication. He added that maintaining stability along the border and improving mutual confidence would help create a positive environment for future engagement.

Wang also highlighted the importance of collaboration through international platforms such as BRICS and other multilateral organizations. According to him, India and China can play a significant role in promoting the interests of developing nations and contributing to global economic growth.

His remarks come at a time when both countries have been taking steps to improve diplomatic engagement following years of tensions along the Line of Actual Control (LAC). Recent high-level interactions have signaled efforts from both sides to strengthen communication and restore normal bilateral exchanges.

Wang reiterated that mutual respect, cooperation, and strategic understanding remain essential for building a stable and long-term partnership between the two Asian powers.
