19-Year-Old NEET Aspirant Dies by Suicide in Hyderabad

Hyderabad, June 21: A 19-year-old student preparing for the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET) died by suicide in Hyderabad's Miyapur area, police said on Saturday.

According to officials, the student was staying with her sisters while preparing for the highly competitive medical entrance examination. She was found at her residence, following which police were informed.

During the preliminary investigation, authorities recovered a note in which the student reportedly stated that no one should be held responsible for her death.

Police have registered a case and launched an investigation to determine the circumstances that led to the incident. Officials said all possible aspects are being examined as part of the inquiry.

The tragic death has once again highlighted concerns over the mental pressure faced by students preparing for competitive examinations. Education experts have repeatedly called for greater awareness of mental health issues and stronger support systems for students dealing with academic stress.

Further investigation is underway.
