Bengaluru: A real estate businessman allegedly shot his former driver three times near the NICE Road flyover at Pillaganahalli in Bengaluru on Wednesday evening, October 14, following a dispute that had reportedly continued for nearly a year.
The victim, identified as Srinivas, also known as Mental Seena, sustained bullet injuries to his leg and was taken to a private hospital for treatment. Konanakunte police have registered a case and launched an investigation.
Dispute Between Former Employer and Driver
According to police sources, Srinivas had previously worked as a driver for the businessman, identified as Sampangi. Their relationship reportedly deteriorated following a personal disagreement, after which Srinivas was dismissed from his job around a year ago.
The dispute allegedly continued even after the employment ended and had previously resulted in a police complaint.
About a month before the shooting, Sampangi reportedly approached Konanakunte police, alleging that Srinivas had attacked him with a machete. An FIR was registered following that complaint.
