Bengaluru: Peenya police have arrested three men for allegedly tying up and assaulting a woman before stealing cash and gold jewellery from her at a rented house in Nagasandra.
The accused have been identified as Boregowda, Abhi and Satish. Police said Boregowda allegedly invited Sujatha, a woman from Nagamangala, to the house on the pretext of attending a milk-boiling ceremony.
According to police, Sujatha had known Boregowda for several months. He allegedly told her that he had rented a house in Nagasandra and asked her to attend the ceremony.
Sujatha reportedly went to the house without informing her husband, Varadaraju. Police said she was carrying Rs 1 lakh in cash and wearing a gold mangalsutra at the time.
