Hyderabad: Hyderabad has achieved another milestone in India's business sector, with 39 companies from the city being included in the list of the country's 500 most valuable privately held firms.
The latest report shows a major increase in Telangana's presence on the list. In 2021, only nine companies from the state were featured. This year, the number has grown to 39, reflecting the state's rapid industrial and business growth.
Among the Telangana-based companies, Divi's Laboratories is the highest-ranked firm in terms of value. The list also includes companies from industries such as pharmaceuticals, information technology, engineering, manufacturing, infrastructure and consumer products.
Business experts say Hyderabad's strong infrastructure, skilled workforce, startup ecosystem and investor-friendly policies have helped many companies expand their operations. Government support for industries has also played a key role in the city's business growth.
The latest rankings highlight Hyderabad's growing importance as one of India's leading business destinations and show the city's increasing contribution to the country's economy.
