Hyderabad: Actor Jr NTR has condemned an AI-morphed video based on the song ‘Chuttamalle’ from his film Devara: Part 1 and said he would pursue legal action against those who created and circulated the manipulated content.
The AI-generated video, featuring digitally altered footage of Janhvi Kapoor, has been circulating on social media. Reports said the manipulated version contains sexually explicit imagery that was not part of the original song.
Reacting to the video on X on Saturday, Jr NTR described the content as offensive and criticised the use of artificial intelligence to digitally manipulate and sexualise a woman.
He warned that legal action would be taken against both the creators and those spreading the video. The actor also urged social media users not to watch, share or engage with the manipulated content.
Jr NTR called on state governments and the Government of India to take stronger measures against the misuse of AI and introduce stricter regulations to prevent such content from being created and circulated.
Janhvi Kapoor also reacted to the circulation of AI-generated fake videos, describing the situation as disturbing. She urged users not to create, share or promote such content and said legal action would be taken against those involved.
‘Chuttamalle’ is a song from the 2024 film Devara: Part 1, featuring Jr NTR and Janhvi Kapoor. The original song has become the subject of the current controversy after digitally manipulated versions began circulating online.
