Kokapet Car Crash Kills Teen After Birthday Party, Seven Others Injured

<p>A late-night birthday outing turned tragic for eight minor students in Hyderabad on Sunday after their car crashed into a road median in Kokapet, leaving one student deceased and seven others injured.</p>
<p>The students, all enrolled at Teju College in Hitech City and studying at the intermediate level, were returning from a birthday party when the accident took place. The car hit a median near Neopolis police station and overturned. The incident occurred at around 3.30 am on September 13.</p>
<p>The student who passed away was identified as Madan Mohan Reddy. Narsing police, speaking to Siasat.com, said the crash happened due to rash and negligent driving and indicated the driver may have been under the influence of alcohol at the time.</p>
<p>A case under Section 106 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) for causing death by rash and negligent driving has been registered in connection with the incident.</p>
<p>The seven surviving students suffered minor injuries and are currently receiving treatment at a hospital. Police declined to release the names of the injured students, citing that they are minors.</p>
