KTR Assures Financial Help for Two-Year-Old Girl After Leg Amputation

Hyderabad: Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) working president KT Rama Rao has assured financial assistance for two-year-old Baby Pooja, who lost her left leg following an accident in Karimnagar. The child is currently undergoing treatment at Apollo Hospital in Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad.

According to a statement issued by the party on Saturday, October 24, the assurance came after Majlis Bachao Tehreek (MBT) spokesperson Amjed Ullah Khan appealed to KTR on behalf of the child's family.

Child Undergoing Further Treatment

Pooja was injured in an accident on Tuesday, October 13, when her left leg was completely severed. Doctors initially performed surgery in an attempt to reattach the limb.

However, an infection subsequently developed, requiring another operation during which the leg was amputated. The child now requires further surgical procedures and continued medical care.

Her family is reportedly facing financial difficulties in meeting the cost of treatment, which is expected to involve substantial expenses.

The party statement did not specify the amount of financial assistance KTR has promised or when the support would be provided.

Amjed Ullah Khan Thanks KTR

Amjed Ullah Khan thanked KTR for responding to his appeal and expressed hope that the assistance would provide relief to Pooja and her family.

He also recalled an earlier instance in which KTR provided Rs 10 lakh towards the heart surgery of six-year-old Iqra Fatima from Barkas in Chandrayangutta, following his request.

Khan appealed to philanthropists and well-wishers to extend financial support to families facing serious medical emergencies.

Appeal for Public Support

The child's family has shared bank account and payment details for people willing to contribute towards her medical expenses.

Those wishing to assist are advised to verify the beneficiary details directly with the family before transferring money.
