A man lost his life during the Ganesh Aagaman celebrations at Ramnagar Junction, which falls under the jurisdiction of Musheerabad Police Station in Hyderabad.
Thousands of city residents had gathered for the event, organised by the Ramnagar Sri Ganapathi Youth Association. Amid the large crowd, a man suddenly fell seriously ill and collapsed. He was subsequently declared deceased.
Police identified the man as Badrinath, a resident of Musheerabad.
Authorities are currently investigating whether Badrinath suffered a sudden cardiac episode or became unwell due to a possible crowd surge at the packed venue. No definitive cause has been established yet.
Police are reviewing CCTV footage from the area and recording statements from eyewitnesses present at the time. The exact cause of his passing is expected to become clearer once the post-mortem report is available.
