After a prolonged dry spell, Telangana is finally set to receive some weather relief this weekend. The India Meteorological Department (IMD), Hyderabad, issued a forecast on Friday indicating a shift in weather patterns, with rainfall and thunderstorms arriving just in time for the weekend and Ganesh Chaturthi festivities.
For Saturday and Sunday, the IMD has forecast heavy rainfall accompanied by gusty winds at isolated places across Telangana. The forecast for Monday points to widespread thunderstorms and light to moderate rain across the state.
Beyond the weekend, the Hyderabad weather department has forecast light to moderate showers and thunderstorms at isolated locations continuing until Wednesday.
For Hyderabad city, the coming week is likely to stay largely cloudy, with recurring spells of thunderstorms. Maximum temperatures are expected to range between 30 and 32 degrees Celsius, while minimum temperatures will hold between 23 and 24 degrees Celsius, according to the IMD forecast.
