Soldier Rahul Rajeev's Organs Save Seven Lives, Kerala CM Pays Tribute

<p>Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala Chief Minister V D Satheesan on Saturday paid tribute to soldier Rahul Rajeev, a 30-year-old from Kollam whose selfless organ donation gave seven people a second chance at life.</p>
<p>Rahul, who had served the nation in Himachal Pradesh, suffered brain passing while receiving treatment at a private hospital in Thiruvananthapuram. Following his passing, his family chose to donate his organs through the Kerala State Organ and Tissue Transplant Organisation, known as K-SOTTO.</p>
<p>In a post on X, Chief Minister Satheesan said Rahul's act of giving was a reflection of the same spirit of service that had defined his time in uniform. "Rahul's legacy of compassion will forever inspire Keralam," the Chief Minister wrote, while extending heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family.</p>
<p>Satheesan also commended the Kerala Police for swiftly arranging a green corridor from Thiruvananthapuram to Thiruvalla, ensuring the organs reached their recipients in time for transplantation.</p>
<p>K-SOTTO is the state government's apex body responsible for regulating, coordinating and supervising human organ and tissue donation and transplantation across Kerala.</p>
