Zelenskyy Says Ukrainian Long-Range Strikes Hit Russian Oil and Logistics Facilities

Kyiv: Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said Ukrainian long-range strikes had targeted key Russian facilities in the Moscow region, including a major oil industry facility and a logistics site.

In a statement, Zelenskyy said the strikes had a significant impact and described the targeted facilities as contributing to Russia's ability to sustain its war effort.

He said the operation involved Ukraine's Security Service, Unmanned Systems Forces, Special Operations Forces, Defense Intelligence and Foreign Intelligence Service.

Zelenskyy listed several long-range systems that he said were used in the operation, including FP-1, RZ-100, MICH-2000, Palianytsia, Vendetta, Liutyi, Bars, Flamingo, Sichen and Pelican.

He also said sanctions had been imposed on a facility in Russia's Voronezh region, without providing further details in the statement.

Zelenskyy called on Moscow to end the war and said Ukraine remained open to measures aimed at de-escalation, particularly in the areas of energy and food security. He said political will would be required to advance such measures.

The claims regarding the extent of damage to the Russian facilities and the effectiveness of the strikes were made by the Ukrainian side. Independent verification of the reported impact was not provided in the statement.

Zelenskyy also thanked the Ukrainian military and security agencies involved in the operation, as well as those supporting Ukraine's long-range capabilities and sanctions efforts.
