Amit Shah Offers Prayers at Bhagyalakshmi Temple Ahead of Hyderabad BJP Padayatra

Hyderabad: Union Home Minister Amit Shah visited the Bhagyalakshmi Temple near Charminar in Hyderabad on Monday, November 2, and performed special pujas during his visit to the city.

Shah was accompanied by Union Minister G. Kishan Reddy. Temple priests offered Vedic blessings and Tirtha Prasad to the leaders.

Security arrangements were tightened around the Charminar area ahead of the visit, while shops in the surrounding locality remained closed.

Amit Shah to Lead BJP Padayatra

The temple visit is part of Shah's Hyderabad tour, during which he is scheduled to lead a BJP padayatra against what the party describes as the Congress's misleading campaign over the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls.

The procession is scheduled to begin from the Babu Jagjivan Ram statue in Basheerbagh and conclude at Mozamjahi Market.

Shah is also expected to address a public gathering at the concluding venue. BJP leaders, party workers and members of the public, including lawyers, doctors and intellectuals, are expected to participate.

INDIA Bloc Rally Targets BJP Over Vote Theft Allegations

Shah's visit comes a day after the INDIA bloc organised a rally at Ramlila Maidan in New Delhi on Sunday, targeting the BJP over allegations of electoral irregularities and 'vote chori'.

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi criticised the BJP and made strong remarks against Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Amit Shah and Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar. He alleged that the opposition would pursue accountability over the electoral issues it has raised.

The BJP has rejected the opposition's allegations surrounding the SIR exercise.

Shah's Hyderabad visit comes amid the continuing political confrontation between the BJP and opposition parties over electoral rolls and allegations of vote manipulation.
