Hyderabad: A 35-year-old police constable was found dead at a residence in Moosarambagh on Monday, September 21, in an incident police are investigating as an apparent suicide.
The deceased was identified as Muthe Chandrasekhar, who was posted as a writer at Amberpet Headquarters.
According to police, Chandrasekhar had spoken to a woman over a video call shortly before the incident and reportedly told her that he intended to take his own life. Concerned by the statement, the woman alerted Chaitanyapuri police.
After receiving the information, Malakpet police reached the location. However, Chandrasekhar was found dead by the time officers arrived.
Police shifted the body to a government hospital for a post-mortem examination and registered a case. Further investigation is underway to establish the circumstances surrounding the death.
Police have not publicly established a motive for the incident. Details about the reported personal relationship have also not been independently verified.
