Hyderabad: A 19-year-old woman and a 15-year-old boy were killed after a tipper truck allegedly rammed the Activa scooter they were travelling on near Ellareddygudem in Jawaharnagar on Saturday night.
The victims were identified as Deepsika, 19, and Amardoy, 15.
According to police, the two had visited a Vinayaka mandapam to attend a community meal and were returning home when the tipper truck collided with their scooter.
The impact left both of them critically injured. They died at the spot, police said.
On receiving information about the accident, Jawaharnagar police reached the scene and shifted the bodies to Gandhi Hospital for post-mortem examination.
Police have registered a case and launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the collision. The tipper truck driver and the exact cause of the accident are being examined as part of the probe.
