BRS working president KT Rama Rao on Saturday took strong exception to the Telangana Police registering a sexual misconduct case against BRS MLAs and MLCs following an altercation at the Assembly entry point, calling it a blatant abuse of law.

Referring to Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy as the "cheap minister of Telangana", Rama Rao said the cases against BRS legislators were politically motivated and orchestrated through the police machinery. He made clear that the party would fight these cases in court.

However, Rama Rao then turned the spotlight on DGP CV Anand, questioning the status of inappropriate conduct allegations involving Miss England against Congress leaders who allegedly misbehaved with her during the Miss World contest held in Hyderabad two years ago. He asked whether the Telangana Police intended to continue shielding those accused in that case.

Closing his remarks with a pointed question directed at Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, Rama Rao asked, "Any answers, Mr Rahul Gandhi?"
