Makkah: Saudi Arabia is set to hold the annual washing ceremony of the Holy Kaaba on June 30 at Masjid Al Haram in Makkah.
The sacred ritual, known as Ghusl Al Kaaba, is one of the most respected ceremonies associated with the Holy Kaaba. It is usually carried out under the supervision of the Saudi leadership or its official representative.
During the ceremony, the inside of the Kaaba is cleaned using a special mixture that includes Zamzam water, rose water, oud and musk. The walls and floor are carefully washed as part of the traditional process.
Senior Saudi officials, religious scholars and invited guests are expected to attend the ceremony. The event reflects the Kingdom’s continued care and responsibility toward the Two Holy Mosques.
The annual washing of the Kaaba holds deep religious importance for Muslims across the world. It is seen as a symbol of respect, purity and service to Islam’s holiest site.
