Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has instructed Congress leaders across the state to remain alert during the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls and ensure that eligible voters are not excluded from the voter list.
Addressing party representatives, the Chief Minister stressed the need for continuous coordination with Booth Level Officers (BLOs) and local party workers throughout the voter verification process. He said leaders must actively monitor developments in their respective constituencies and respond quickly to any issues affecting voter registration.
Revanth Reddy expressed concern that vulnerable sections, including Dalits, minorities, tribal communities, migrant workers and women, could face challenges during the revision exercise if proper attention is not given to the process.
The Chief Minister directed party leaders to strengthen grassroots monitoring, organize voter awareness activities and establish effective communication channels to address complaints and concerns. He also emphasized the importance of focusing on urban areas where population movement is higher.
Warning leaders against negligence, Revanth Reddy said the party would take a serious view of any failure to protect the voting rights of eligible citizens. He urged party workers to treat the voter roll revision exercise as a priority and work to ensure that no genuine voter is left out.
