Two ex-security guards arrested for selling illegal substances near Kondapur Hospital

<p>Hyderabad's Special Operations Team arrested two men on charges of allegedly transporting and selling banned substances in the city, with the operation centred around a hotel near Kondapur Government Hospital.</p>
<p>The accused were identified as Dheeraj Das, 39, and Rabali Ali, 25, both natives of Assam. SOT officials, acting on intelligence, found several small packets of ganja being sold at the hotel during the operation. Police seized 17.1 kg of ganja worth approximately Rs 9 lakh from their possession.</p>
<p>Preliminary investigation revealed that both men had previously worked as security guards in Hyderabad and allegedly turned to selling illegal substances after finding their salaries insufficient to meet their expenses.</p>
<p>Police found that the ganja was being sourced from Assam and sold locally in Hyderabad. Following the arrests, SOT officials handed over both accused to the Kondapur Excise Police for further investigation.</p>
