Hyderabad: Four people were killed in a bus accident at Ananthagiri in Vikarabad district on Saturday morning, Superintendent of Police Sneha Mehra confirmed.
The injured were shifted to nearby government hospitals for emergency treatment, while those requiring specialised or super-speciality care were being moved to higher medical centres, the SP said.
Police, emergency medical teams and ambulances were rushed to the accident site soon after the incident. Rescue personnel, assisted by local residents, helped evacuate injured passengers from the bus and transport them to hospitals.
Doctors were assessing the injured and providing first aid and other necessary treatment. Medical authorities were coordinating with the RDMO and concerned doctors to ensure critically injured victims received immediate care.
Officials said rescue and medical teams were prioritising the first hour after the accident, known as the “golden hour” in trauma care, with efforts focused on rapid rescue, stabilisation and timely transfer of seriously injured passengers.
