Elon Musk Says Neuralink Could Achieve Brain-to-Brain Communication Soon

San Francisco: Elon Musk has shared a new update on Neuralink, saying the company is working toward direct brain-to-brain communication using its brain-computer interface technology.

Neuralink recently completed 10 years since it was founded. Marking the milestone, Musk said the company's long-term goal goes beyond allowing people to control devices with their thoughts. He said the next step is to enable communication directly between human brains.

According to Musk, the first demonstration of this technology in patients could take place before the end of the year. However, he did not provide a specific timeline or technical details.

Neuralink's current brain implant, called Telepathy, is designed to help people with paralysis operate computers, smartphones and other digital devices using only their thoughts. The company has been conducting clinical trials to test and improve the technology.

If successful, future developments could open new possibilities in medical treatment and communication for people with severe neurological conditions. The company has not yet announced when brain-to-brain communication technology will become widely available.
