Hyderabad: BRS Legislature Party deputy leader T Harish Rao on Monday urged the Telangana government to postpone the Telangana Public Service Commission (TGPSC) Roads and Buildings Assistant Executive Engineer (AEE) examination scheduled for November 6, citing a clash with the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) Junior Engineer (JE) examination.
Harish Rao said the overlapping examination schedules could affect more than 50,000 civil engineering aspirants, particularly candidates who had applied for both recruitment tests.
Harish Rao Appeals to Chief Minister
The BRS leader alleged that the government had failed to respond to repeated appeals from candidates, who had reportedly approached ministers, officials and the Chief Minister seeking a change in the examination date.
He said the SSC had already confirmed its examination schedule, leaving candidates concerned about having to choose between two important recruitment opportunities.
Harish Rao urged Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy to intervene immediately and direct the authorities to reschedule the TGPSC AEE examination.
Aspirants Face Examination Schedule Clash
According to Harish Rao, candidates preparing for both examinations risk losing the opportunity to appear for one of them because of the scheduling conflict.
He argued that postponing the state-level examination would give eligible candidates a chance to compete in both recruitment processes without being forced to miss either test.
The issue has raised concerns among aspirants preparing for government engineering jobs, for whom recruitment examinations represent important career opportunities.
Demand for Early Decision
Harish Rao called on the state government and examination authorities to address the issue before the scheduled test date.
As of the information provided, no official decision to postpone the TGPSC AEE examination had been announced. Candidates should follow official notifications from TGPSC and SSC for any changes to the examination schedule.
