A visit to Kondapochamma Sagar in Siddipet turned tragic on Wednesday when an 18-year-old Nepali student lost his life after drowning in the reservoir.
The student, identified as Mohana Prasad, was a Nepali national residing in Old Bowenpally, Secunderabad. He was enrolled in a BCom programme at a local college in the area.
Prasad had gone to the water body along with a group of friends. The group ventured deep into the reservoir, after which Prasad went under and could not be saved.
Siddipet police registered a case following the incident.
