A diamond ring and over 10 tolas of gold ornaments were stolen from a businessman's residence on Road Number 10 in Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad, with police now examining fingerprint evidence and CCTV footage to track down the accused.
Neelu Kaur, wife of Rajasthan businessman Shailendar Singh, filed a complaint on Wednesday, September 2, stating that thieves entered the house through the back by removing a window grille. Because the house was unoccupied at the time, the burglars were able to take gold necklaces, bracelets, and a diamond ring without drawing any attention.
Police officials collected fingerprints from the scene and are cross-referencing CCTV footage from cameras in and around the Jubilee Hills locality.
According to police, the same group had attempted to enter two other houses in the same area but fled empty-handed after residents came out of their rooms after hearing sounds. Investigators believe the burglars specifically chose Kaur's house after confirming it was unoccupied.
Residents of Jubilee Hills say they are on edge as reports of theft in the area continue to rise.
