Mumbai: The Eknath Shinde-led Shiv Sena received a major boost on Sunday after six Lok Sabha MPs from the Uddhav Thackeray faction formally joined the party.
The move marks a significant political development in Maharashtra and further strengthens Shinde's position within the Shiv Sena. The MPs announced their decision after holding discussions with leaders of the ruling faction.
The lawmakers who switched sides include Omprakash Rajenimbalkar, Nagesh Patil Ashtikar, Sanjay Haribhai Jadhav, Sanjay Dina Patil, Bhausaheb Wakchaure and Sanjay Uttamrao Deshmukh.
