Sonia Gandhi's Gaza Article Triggers Political Row, BJP Hits Back

New Delhi: A fresh political controversy has erupted after Congress Parliamentary Party Chairperson Sonia Gandhi questioned the Central government's approach to the Gaza conflict in an opinion article.

In her article, Sonia Gandhi said India should raise its voice more strongly on the humanitarian situation in Gaza. She also stated that the country's foreign policy has moved away from its long-standing principles.

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) strongly objected to her comments and accused the Congress of using an international issue for political gains. BJP leaders said India's foreign policy is based on national interest and follows a balanced approach in dealing with global conflicts.

The Congress defended Sonia Gandhi's views, saying India should continue its tradition of taking an independent and principled position on international matters. Senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi also expressed support for her remarks.

The exchange has triggered a political debate over India's foreign policy and its position on the ongoing conflict in Gaza.
